Adidas are re-entering the competitive swimming market in a serious way with their new FINA approved swimsuit the Adidas AdiZero XVI.
The tech suits not only look amazing, they also perform to the highest standards. This swimsuit will be ready to coincide with the 2016 Rio Olympic games and Adidas will be hoping that their swimsuit will out-perform the competition!
The racing swimsuit has been created with the help of body scanning technology. Adidas scanned thousands of athletes to assess the common form of swimmers, this has allowed them to product a swimsuit that is specifically tailored around the contours of a swimmers body. From this exercise Adidas found that if you predominantly swim breaststroke you're likely to have a subtly different body shape to those who predominantly swim the other three strokes. With this in mind Adidas have created an Adizero swimsuit for breaststroke swimmers and a separate suit for freestyle/backstroke/butterfly swimmers.
